Process of Making Rubber Mold

I. Form & Create Cavity

  1. Hand carve plaster cast
  2. Pour molten metal into cast
  3. Do finish work on cavity
  4. Screw cavity to aluminum plate      & prepare for rubber press

II. Rubber Mill Process

  1. Rubber Mill

    • 20lbs of chemicals
    • 20lbs of Rubber #1 Pale Crape
      • The HIGHEST QUALITY latex rubber available, and one GRADE HIGHER than Baby Bottle nipples - imported from all over the world
    • Made into "32 x 18" sheets
    • 100 Year Old Rubber Press
      • Pulled into vaccuum
      • AIR PRESSURE applied to top to hold shape
      • Heated to 250 for 10 minutes to vulcanize rubber.
      • Cut into correct sizes for specific applications
      • Boxed & shipped all over the United States & through out the world.
